DBHIDS is excited to invite you to The Art of Reporting!
The purpose of this event is to have a conversation style overview session about how to report work earnings to social service entities such as the Social Security Administration, Department of Public Welfare, and more. We aim to provide a foundational level of understanding about the importance of reporting and how not doing so could impact one’s benefits. Our subject matter experts will discuss their experience reporting or supporting an individual who is reporting.
During this meeting, we will provide light refreshments as well as free groceries provided by our partner, Sharing Excess. There will be opportunities to network and hear stories from other attendees.
In order to attend this event, the registration form must be completed by end May 6. If the registration form is not completed, we cannot guarantee that you can attend this event since there is limited capacity. Additionally, the form captures information to best meet your needs during the event. We are so looking forward to meeting with you!
This event is for individuals who are entering into the workforce and receiving benefits, as well as their supports such as case managers, MPRS’s, CPS’s, CRS’s, CHW’s, or any other identified person on a care team. We will go over why reporting is important, how and when to report, and how not reporting can impact one’s benefits. Our speakers will be sharing their perspective as either a support person or someone with lived experience.
We’ll also be highlighting MAWD, or Medical Assistance for Workers with Disabilities. MAWD is an excellent option for those who no longer qualify for public assistance due to their income .
