Being strength-based is best practice, but what does it really mean the therapist is doing? Explore how to use a family’s lived experiences to identify strengths and resources that can be integrated into treatment. Using what a family already has creates a more meaningful experience for the consumer. This also creates a shared dilemma for the therapist and the caregiver to work collaboratively.
Through video-recorded session material, participants will see examples of therapists using critical life events to bolster emotion regulation, caregiver leadership, and treatment planning.
This virtual training is free to attend and offers CEUs. It is intended for professionals who works with families in the CBH and DBHIDS network.
