The Opioid Prevention & Narcan Rescue training covers the basics of opioid dependency, explores prescribed and non-prescribed opioids, and reviews the impact of the opioid crisis nationally and locally. It introduces the laws that govern the ability to help someone in distress and the city’s efforts to combat the epidemic in Philadelphia. Individuals will learn how to identify overdose risk factors, signs, and symptoms of an opioid overdose and how to administer Narcan.
