Women and girls of color in Philadelphia experience significant health disparities shaped by social determinants of health including limited access to quality care, unsafe environments, financial barriers, and unequal treatment. These inequities contribute to ongoing financial strain, chronic stress, and mental and behavioral health challenges that affect long‑term stability and well‑being.
The DBHIDS Engaging Women and Girls of Color (EWGOC) Virtual Wellness Series is a quarterly online event created to address these gaps by offering a safe, supportive space for connection, learning, and resource sharing. Our next session will focus on “Financial Wellness: Addressing the Income Gap and Access to Care,” providing expert insights, practical strategies, and accessible tools that support financial stability, well‑being, and greater access to resources for women and girls of color. Please join us for this important conversation. All are welcome!
