DBHIDS Enhanced Clinical Practicum Professional Development Training: Our Capes Are Torn

The purpose of this professional development training is to teach mental health and stress management strategies to behavioral and mental health professionals and interns. This training will teach attendees how to recognize, acknowledge, and combat against secondary trauma and stress and how to stay mentally/emotionally well while serving vulnerable populations.

Hybrid Workshop

The DBHIDS Enhanced Clinical Practicum is excited to announce a behavioral health workshop facilitated by Shayna Rudd, M.Ed., LPC, CEO and Artistic Director of The Legends House. This  session will offer in-person and virtual participation focusing on mental health and stress management techniques. This workshop is designed to help professionals expand their mental health toolbox through discussions, activities, and practical tools to enhance self-care, enabling participants to better care for others.

  • Feb. 20 from 10 a.m. to noon.
  • Chat and Chew from noon to 1 p.m.
  • In-person: Community Behavioral Health, 801 Market St., 11th Floor, Philadelphia 19107, Conference Room 1154B.
  • Virtual: Details will be provided upon registration.

Shayna Yvonne Rudd, a native of Philadelphia, is a proud graduate of Howard University and The University of Pennsylvania. She is a former Miss Black USA and author of two books: “Lady Lessons” and “Sound Red.” Shayna is a professor in the graduate school of education at The University of Pennsylvania. Shayna is also the founder of The Legends House for girls and women specializing in empowerment, mental wellness, and the performing arts. Shayna is a psychotherapist practicing in Philadelphia at The Legends House.

CEU/CE Information: To earn CEUs/CE credits, participants must:

  • Arrive on time.
  • Attend the entire session.
  • Submit a completed course evaluation on the Learning Hub.
  • Accreditation:
    • 0.2 IACET CEUs: BHTEN is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is authorized to issue the IACET CEU.
    • 2.0 CPRP CEUs: Approved by the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (PRA) for Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioners (CPRPs).
  • Certificates of completion and CEUs will be available for download on the Learning Hub after submission of the evaluation.
