With summer approaching, the annual DBHIDS Heat Safety eLearning course and Heat Safety Policy (including Philadelphia resources, handouts, and checklists) are now available for Provider Agency staff and DBHIDS employees.
Information regarding the specific behavioral health services to which the policy applies, as well as staff training requirements and deadlines, can be found on pages one and two of the policy.
We urge you to complete the course, use preventative measures, and educate program participants as quickly as possible, as heat waves earlier in the season often result in higher rates of mortality.
