Mass Incarceration and Reparations: The Cost to Black Women

October 6 @ 10:30 am - 5:00 pm

Free

This summit is based on the groundbreaking book by author Tasseli Mckay, “Stolen Wealth Hidden Power: The Case for Reparations for Mass Incarceration,” which broadens the national dialogue on reparations owed to the many of African descent who have been impacted by mass/generational incarceration.

It challenges American society to look at the historical decimation and economic loss to families and communities of African descent geopolitically located in a centuries continual systemic space/role of confinement, containment, and imprisonment.
