Join us for International Men’s Day 2024.
Every year on Nov. 19, International Men’s Day is observed globally to raise awareness for issues men face. In 2024, the theme is: Positive Male Role Models. International Men’s Day encourages men to teach boys the values, character, and responsibilities of being men.
The DBHIDS Division of Planning Innovation | Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion unit | Engaging Males of Color initiative invites you to attend its annual event to acknowledge, appreciate, and celebrate the contributions of men in our lives and society. This year’s esteemed keynote speaker will be Big Brother’s Big Sister’s Independence Region CEO Marcus Allen.
Our event will feature great food, inspiring speakers, and open discussions addressing the unique challenges and triumphs that boys and young men face today. We believe that with the right support, every young man has the potential to thrive and make a positive impact on their community. This is where we need you! We’re asking your organization to bring young men from your network—students, mentees, sons, nephews, and anyone in need of positive support—to join us. Your participation will help us create a supportive environment that uplifts and encourages the next generation.
We will have a moment where young people will have a space to talk and provide call to action for how us as men can improve on being positive male role models.
Date: Nov. 19.
Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Behavioral Health Training and Education Network
