DBHIDS Recovery Specialist Training Winter 2021-22

An event every day that begins at 9:00 am, repeating until February 11, 2022
10-day specialized training for individuals in recovery from a substance use disorder.
This training prepares individuals to obtain the credential that recognizes the work of recovering individuals in the provision of recovery support services in assisting others in accessing and sustaining recovery from Substance Use Disorders.
Participants will receive 78 hours of education in the following domains:
✓ 21 hours in Recovery Planning and Collaboration
✓ 18 hours in Substance Use Knowledge
✓ 12 hours Ethical Responsibility and Professionalism
✓ 9 hours in Communication, Interpersonal and Professional Skills
✓ 6 hours in Advocacy
✓ 6 hours in Safety and Self-Care
✓ 6 hours in Cultural Competency
