Clinical Supervision in Community Mental Health: How to Align Supervision Content and Process with Best Practices
September 8, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
This lecture will discuss best practices in community mental health clinical supervision. Clinical supervision is the primary manner in which mental health trainees develop their clinical skills and is a near-ubiquitous practice across mental health settings. However, the content (i.e., what is discussed in supervision) and process (i.e., how the content is discussed) varies widely. Enhancing supervision in community mental health settings is a promising strategy to facilitate the implementation of evidence-based mental health interventions into community clinicals. In this program, Simone Schriger, ARCH Lab Doctoral Student, will discuss best practices in supervision content and process and how this applies to community mental health.
