Our goal is healthy individuals, families, and communities, free of stigma, with equal access to health resources sharing their lived experiences for continued holistic wellness. In order to realize this mission, the PCCI Unit actively engages, supports, and models the promotion of hope, wellness and empowerment throughout the Behavioral Health system of Philadelphia and beyond. Our motto is to \u201cModel, Inspire, and Inform\u201d. This charge is achieved in the following ways:<\/p><ul><li>Supporting and fostering the value of the achievement of wellness through shared experiences<\/li><li>Assuring representation of people in recovery and family members at all levels of the system<\/li><li>Developing collaborative relationships among all organization and system partners<\/li><li>Developing opportunities for people in recovery and their family members to have active leadership roles at all levels of the system<\/li><li>Promoting peer culture and community inclusion through occupational wellness and technical assistance.<\/li><\/ul><p>Peer occupational wellness activities include:<\/p><ul><li><strong><a href=\"\/about-us\/organization\/division-of-planning-innovation\/peer-culture-and-community-inclusion-unit\/peer-culture-transformation-advisory-board\/\">Peer Culture Transformation Advisory Board (PCTAB)<\/a>:<\/strong> The Peer Culture Transformation Advisory Board began meetings on June 4, 2019. The board is comprised of a diverse group of CPS, providers, family members, and community members with various lived experiences of recovery to serve as the continuous quality improvement arm of the peer support initiative and to help re-ignite excitement of systems transformation.
