{"id":3455,"date":"2020-07-21T14:07:00","date_gmt":"2020-07-21T14:07:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dbhids.org\/dev\/?post_type=news&#038;p=3455"},"modified":"2022-12-07T14:09:11","modified_gmt":"2022-12-07T14:09:11","slug":"hazard-pay-grants-now-available-for-front-line-workers-in-life-sustaining-industries","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/dbhids.org\/dev\/news\/hazard-pay-grants-now-available-for-front-line-workers-in-life-sustaining-industries\/","title":{"rendered":"Hazard pay grants now available for front-line workers in life-sustaining industries"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">July 21, 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">$50 million in grant funding is now available to help employers provide hazard pay to employees in life-sustaining occupations during the COVID-19 pandemic.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.governor.pa.gov\/newsroom\/wolf-administration-hazard-pay-grants-now-available-for-front-line-workers-in-life-sustaining-industries\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">A full press release outlining program details is available online.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Workers making less than $20 an hour are eligible for up to $1,200 in hazard pay over a 10-week period between Aug. 16 and Oct. 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following applicants are eligible to apply:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Businesses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Healthcare Non-profits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Public Transportation Agencies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certified Economic Development Organizations (CEDO)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eligible Pennsylvania-based industries include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Healthcare and Social Assistance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ambulatory Healthcare Services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hospitals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nursing and Residential Care Facilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transit and Ground Passenger Transportation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Food Manufacturing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Food Retail Facilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Security Services for eligible industries listed above and commercial industries that were not closed as a result of the Governor\u2019s Business Closure Order<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Janitorial Services to Buildings and Dwellings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eligible applicants may apply for grants using the online DCED Electronic Single Application for Assistance located at\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.esa.dced.state.pa.us\/\" target=\"_blank\">esa.dced.state.pa.us<\/a>\u00a0from July 16 to July 31, 2020.
