{"id":3358,"date":"2021-09-27T19:24:00","date_gmt":"2021-09-27T19:24:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dbhids.org\/dev\/?post_type=news&#038;p=3358"},"modified":"2022-12-06T19:31:14","modified_gmt":"2022-12-06T19:31:14","slug":"nicole-connell-named-dbhids-chief-of-innovation-effectiveness","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/dbhids.org\/dev\/news\/nicole-connell-named-dbhids-chief-of-innovation-effectiveness\/","title":{"rendered":"Nicole Connell Named DBHIDS Chief of Innovation Effectiveness"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">September 27, 2021<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After more than 15 years\u2019 experience working across locally and federally funded social service entities and nonprofit community-based organizations including seven years with the City of Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services, Nicole Connell, M.Ed., Sept. 24 was named the Chief of Innovation &amp; Effectiveness for DBHIDS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"232\" height=\"240\" src=\"https:\/\/dbhids.org\/dev\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/NC.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3359\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Nicole Connell<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This new role will incorporate Connell\u2019s expertise in organizational procedures and government affairs with direct oversight of the DBHIDS Division of Planning Innovation effective Oct. 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDBHIDS is proud to have someone with Nicole\u2019s talent, expertise and experience supporting our mission and serving the people of Philadelphia,\u201d DBHIDS Commissioner Jill Bowen, Ph.D., said. \u201cNicole has led by example for years, and I look forward to seeing her take the Division of Planning Innovation \u2014 and help aim all of DBHIDS \u2014 in new and exciting directions.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In her new role, Connell will be responsible for the development and integration of innovative approaches to advance behavioral health wellness and treatment. The CIE is a senior level position that serves on the Division Leadership and Executive Management teams of DBHIDS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prior to her new role, Connell was DBHIDS Chief of Staff and Operations, a position that directly supported the commissioner and provided strategic direction on a broad range of administrative, legislative, and financial priorities. Connell has a proven track record of success leading and developing innovative processes that enhance organizational effectiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Connell, a native Philadelphian, has wide-ranging experience and in-depth knowledge of complex community challenges, social determinants of health, and effective organization operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Connell is a graduate of the Philadelphia High School for Girls, Temple University, and Eastern University and is currently a public administration doctoral candidate.
