The nominations period has opened for the 2022 \u2018My City, My Place\u2019 Brighter Futures Awards<\/a>, the 30th anniversary of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DBHIDS Division of Intellectual disAbility Services and its Public Awareness Committee invite you to submit a nomination for a community member or group who makes a difference in others\u2019 lives. Please help us celebrate by acknowledging those in the community who exemplify our motto: It\u2019s all about community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Brighter Futures Awards are for individuals from all walks of life: neighbors, people with disabilities, teachers, friends, family, employers, co-workers, spiritual leaders, civic groups\/organizations, self-advocates, medical professionals, political leaders, businessmen, and business women. We are looking for groups or individuals who are not employed by a provider agency who have made extraordinary efforts to assist people with an intellectual disability and or autism.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
