The inaugural episode of the new TEC-focused podcast from DBHIDS Commissioner Jill Bowen, Ph.D., is now available on Spotify<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Community Conversations with Dr. Jill Bowen”<\/a> brings together the Commissioner of the City of Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services with community members from across the region to discuss important issues related to TEC — addressing Trauma, achieving Equity, and engaging Community<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Episode 1, Dr. Jill Bowen spends some time with Dr. Reginald Banks, Chair of the Coalition of Culturally Competent Providers<\/a> and the Chief Psychologist at Dunbar Community Counseling Services<\/a>. He has been helping to serve the people of Philadelphia for more than 30 years. Dr. Banks discusses leaving the more traditional clinical model of trauma outreach in favor of heading into the community to meet people where they are. It\u2019s not without its challenges, but Dr. Banks remains focused on the goals for the upcoming year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
