The Department has a long and strong history of collaboration with academic partners, locally and nationally, to conduct research on questions of interest to the Department and the City of Philadelphia. DBHIDS supported research has explored and examined questions about different populations in need of behavioral health and intellectual disability services, including school children and youth, forensic and justice-involved individuals, Medicaid population, among others.
